Re-launch of "Women in Local Councils"
Making a Difference
Monday 19 February 2007 from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm
in the Waterfront Hall, Belfast
The Women in Local Councils initiative involves a partnership between the Local Government Staff Commission and the Training Group, SOLACE, NILGA, the National Association of Councillors, the Equality Commission, Business in the Community, NIC-ICTU, and the Institute of Governance at Queens’ University
During 2006, Women in Local Councils achieved a great deal. Our aims and objectives for 2007 and beyond will ensure that we continue to make a difference in the areas we support. We want to build on the success of our first year and develop new initiatives to facilitate and accelerate gender equality in local government.
