Official Launch of “Women in Local Councils”

The Women in Local Councils initiative was launched by Minister of State The Rt Hon Lord Rooker on Thursday 19 January 2006 in the Waterfront Hall.
Throughout 2006, Women in Local Councils will feature a series of events designed to attract women into councils as employers of choice, to encourage those already employed to apply for higher graded posts and to raise the profile of women in local politics.
