The Women's Champions: Cllr Peter Weir, Cllr Michelle McIIveen, Cllr Marion Smith, Cllr Helen Quigley, Cllr Angela Nelson, Cllr Lynn Frazer and Cllr Evelyne Robinson would like to invite you to this workshop to consider how we can practically encourage greater participation of women in local government at a political level.

Jessica Crowe, Executive Director, Centre for Public Scrutiny will outline the report of the Councillors Commission 'Representing the Future' published in December 2007. She will highlight particular learning lessons for women elected members within the context of modernisation and change.
