Women in Local Councils Award - Practical Guidance Session - Thursday 28 February 2008

You will be aware that the Business in the Community Northern Ireland Regional Recognition Awards includes a specific award for councils - the Women in Local Councils Award. This award will recognise and celebratethe measurable progress made by councils towards addressing any gender under-representation, thereby creating a local government sector which more accurately reflects the community it serves.
With just under four weeks to go until the Regional Recognition Awards Deadline we have arranged a Practical Guidance Session for Champions and Steering Group members who may wish to submit an entry.
This short session will be held on Thursday 28 February 2008 from 10.30am (refreshments available from 10.00am) in Committee Room 1 , Craigavon Civic Centre. An outline programme is attached for information. A light lunch will be provided.
We would encourage you consider submitting an entry to highlight progress made to date and this session will provide practical guidance on the criteria and tips on how to complete an entry.
