The Idea Workshop for Women - POSTPONED Thursday 28 February 2008
(Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre)Details
Have you ever thought about how you manage projects or start initiatives but not had a good idea? If so why not come along to the Idea Workshop for Women which we are holding on Thursday 28 February 2008 at Craigavon Civic Centre from 10.00am – 1.00pm. A light lunch will be provided.
The Idea Workshop for Women is sponsored by Invest NI through a new initiative called Pathbreaking. The aim is to help women in Northern Ireland to use innovation to manage new projects or to start or grow their businesses.
The Women in Local Councils Initiative in conjunction with Invest NI is offering this Idea Workshop for Women specifically for women who are in local government. Participant feedback from the recent series of Developing Your Potential workshops showed that a number of women across local government in Northern Ireland are interested in self employment as a future career option. This workshop may help you take your career on to the next stage.
Why is such a programme needed? There are already many examples of innovative women in successful businesses in Northern Ireland. Invest NI would like to see more. Many women have the personality, ambition and skills needed to succeed in business. Claire Herron from Invest NI says “Our experience shows that one of the barriers facing women is finding a good business idea and this programme will aim to help up to 200 women across Northern Ireland to do that.”
