Next Generation Programme

An elected member mentoring programme was launched in March 2010 in partnership with Women into Politics. The Mentoring Programme, supported by all the main political parties, is aimed at supporting women interested in serving their local communities as their local politician.

Development Centres

Development centres were arranged giving twenty four participants the opportunity to be assessed against a competency framework for senior managers.

Women’s Development Programme

This programme for women in junior and middle management roles has been run successfully in the past and 36 women participated during 2006.

“How to” Workshop

The programme aimed to help 20 women develop the confidence to embrace all of their professional challenges and realise their full potential.
